Distance Learning
Classroom video conferencing is sometimes confused
with distance learning (also called e-learning or
online learning). Distance learning refers to a teaching method
that occurs when students and teachers are located in two different
places. It can provide an education to people who are limited by
time, money or a physical disability. Different methods, including
e-mails, videos and workbooks, are used to make up for the lack of
physical interaction. Video conferencing distance
education bridges the gap with audio and video
transmissions. While video conferencing is a common tool for
distance learning, distance learning and classroom video
conferencing aren't synonymous. Classroom video conferencing
education is also used in traditional classrooms. |
