AVG 2014 and 2013
1. Download and run theAVG Diagnostics tool.
2. Follow displayed instructions.
3. Fill in your e-mail address and brief description of the experienced issue. Please attach link to the original thread as well.
4. If you need to attach some additional files, please use the Attach file button.
5. Press the Diagnose and send results button.
6. Inform moderator about successful sending of diagnostic data.
AVG 2012 or AVG 2011 (Windows only, AVG installed in default location)
1. Download and runthis tool.
2. Accept the license agreement.
3. Enter your forum nickname.
4. Tick Include AVG logs, configuration and dump files.
5. Click Create archive.
6. Wait for the utility to finish its run. It may take a few minutes.
7. Should the total size be smaller than 2 MB, you will be asked to attach the file (which is created on your Desktop) to your post.
8. If the total size will be larger, the archive will be uploaded to our FTP server(Engineer will provide you the private link).

– The AVG<number> folder differs with AVG product version (it will be “AVG10” for AVG 2011, for example).
– Some folders arehiddenby default operating system configuration.
– On Linux systems, we recommend rather running the avgdiag.sh script. It will create an archive containing all important AVG diagnostic data in the current directory (avgdiag<date><time>.tar.gz).
2. Copy the Log folder to a temporary location (e.g. to C:\temp).
– This will make sure all of the log files could be opened for exclusive access when compressing them in the 3rd step.
3.Compressthe copied Log folder andupload it to some online storage service.
4. Ask Engineer for a link to the uploaded archive.
